Raw Honey and Beeswax Candles from Gainesville, Florida

Jensen’s Honey is a small family apiary at 3904 SW 62nd Avenue in southwest Gainesville. Every jar is single-source wildflower honey from our own hives — raw, unfiltered, never blended, never heated — and the candles are poured by hand from the same hives’ wax.

What we make

Raw Florida wildflower honey — this year’s harvest — 3 lb jar (quart) or 5 lb container. Raw Florida wildflower honey from one meadow and one season, bottled on its own.

Beeswax candles — cylinder pillars, hex pillars, carved luminaries, tapers, little skeps and floating stars, all in pure beeswax from our hives.

Also from the hive — raw propolis and beeswax ingots, sold by weight.

Questions from neighbors

Where can I buy local raw honey in Gainesville?

At the farm, 3904 SW 62nd Avenue in southwest Gainesville: there is a self-serve kiosk at the end of the driveway, with prices posted under the honey sign. Or order here and we post it to you — anywhere in the lower 48, Alachua County included.

Is your honey really from Gainesville?

Yes. It comes from our own hives here, and every harvest is bottled on its own — one meadow, one season, never mixed with honey from anywhere else. Raw, unfiltered and never heated.

Are your candles pure beeswax?

Yes — pure beeswax from the same hives as the honey, poured by hand on the farm. That is where the warm golden flame and the faint honey scent come from.

When is the farm kiosk open?

The current hours are on our Google listing, which is the one we keep up to date. If you are coming a long way, call first: (630) 649-4568.

How much is shipping if I order online?

Orders of $45 and over ship free, and both sizes of honey are $45 or more, so honey always travels free. Under $45 it is a flat $7. The whole of it is on the shipping page.

Why has my raw honey crystallized?

Because it is raw. Real honey sets over time, faster in a cold kitchen; warm the jar gently in water and it loosens again. The longer answer is in the FAQ.
